Recently, the road and bridge project for the Makoni Lithium Mine in Sierra Leone, undertaken by China Railway Seventh Group, was successfully completed.
The Makoni Lithium Mine road and bridge project serves as a dedicated transportation route into and out of the mine area. It includes 11.2 kilometers of external transport roads and a 118-meter-long steel-concrete composite bridge, connecting the Lunsar–Makeni highway with the Mabole River. Once completed, the project will significantly shorten transport routes for lithium and nearby materials, greatly reduce logistics costs, and enhance the efficiency of lithium resource export.
